Since merging with Expo Ormstown in 2018, the LBA has continued to expand on its mandate to promote the advancement of education in the fields of agriculture, horticulture and animal welfare.
Desjardins Expo Ormstown, over a century old agricultural fair, now celebrating 107 years, sees over 18000 visitors each year. Here visitors can immerse themselves in livestock exhibitions, agricultural and horticultural displays, local product sampling, entertaining children’s activities and so much more. History and tradition have been kept alive at the fair through the involvement of Campbell’s Amusements, a thrilling treat for people of all ages, being a part of Ormstown for over 46 years.
This amazing expo would not be possible without the help and involvement of the hundreds of volunteers who sit on organizing committees, as well as the board of directors who give their time to not only oversee Desjardins Expo Ormstown, but the many other events and activities that take place on the grounds throughout the year.
Events such as the Spring Gala, Desjardins Expo Ormstown, the CRCCQ horse races, the Fall Festival, and the Christmas Village are just some of the ways that the LBA raise the necessary funds to maintain and restore the historical buildings on the grounds. These fundraising events go hand in hand with the many sponsors and donators who contribute year after year, helping to keep the LBA, and all it stands for, alive.
